URGENT NEED for La Victoria Prison - Dominican Republic
November 3, 2007

We have just learned that the prison at Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, was hit hard by Hurricane Noel.  Five feet of rain was dropped on the prison, covering all doorways and windows and flooding out the fourteen “tent” congregations there.  The inmates scrambled to the roof for safety.  Several inmates tried to jump into the water to escape prison.  As we were talking with Tony, our interpreter, the SWAT team came into the area and began shooting at the prisoners.  Amid gunshots, Tony asked us to please help with bottled water to drink and charcoal to use as fuel to keep warm.  They are planning to cook out-side the prison and bring in the food to the inmates.

Can you come alongside MOTE and ANDIP (Asociacion Racional de Iglesias Penintenciarias) with our local pastors in the Dominican Republic with a financial support?  The need is urgent!

$100 Will replace a tarp (need 14, one for each church inside the prison)

$50 Will  help replace Bibles and materials for each of the 14 churches inside the prison  (need 80 to 100 Bibles for each church)

$25 Will help with water to drink and charcoal for each church

Please help today!  Send your donation to MOTE at P.O. Box 27645, San Diego, CA  92128 or credit card through our MOTE website,
